I am trying to locate the burial locations for Etheridges in Martin County. These Etheridges lived in Oak City, Hassell, Roseneath, Hobgood, and Conoho areas. Is anyone aware of any Etheridge family cemeteries in these areas?

Two individuals that I am looking for are James David Etheridge (1842-1924) and his brother Lewis Henry Etheridge (1844-bef. 1900). They are the sons of David M. Etheridge and Martha Patsy Pittman.

The death certificate for James David Etheridge states that he was buried in Roseneath Church cemetery. A note that I found online states "Graves now (1993) unmarked and plowed into a field. 30 feet north of old church which is now an abandoned wood working shop." Does anyone know if this building still exists or the location where it stood?

The death certificate for Lewis Henry Etheridge's wife Laura Ann Hooker states that she is buried at the Etheridge residence near Hassell, NC.

Any help with locating the burial locations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
