There are researchers that say the GA/FL Mizells are descended from Luke Mizell of Bertie County.
I have found no evidence to prove that.
My belief is that the GA/FL Mizells are descended from one of William Mizell's children. Most of the Mizells that arrived in GA in 1770 and obtained British Crown Grants were married in Tyrrell County (now Martin) where William settled after his marriage.
Genealogy is not an exact science. We have limited records of the 1700's and we can only use the information we have and draw the bext conclusion we can. Hence we have honest beliefs that may be different from someone else.
I have spent the last 10 years trying to solve the NC Mizell family unrecorded information.
