Emma,

My Gardner relative was James H. Gardner whom I believe served during the RR War from Martin Co. NC because he settled in Lawrence County, AR, prior to 1820 with a land patton - grant - from a RW Company serving from Martin Co. James H. Gardner may have first gone to TN, then settled in Lawrence Co. AR and is documented there by the land grant.

I have document a presumed family in AR in the 1820s and a family that I believed to includ wife Hannah (who married a R. Lott in 1837 so James Gardner had apparently died) my grgrandfather James H. Gardner II. James siblings possibly were Isaac, Narcisse, Temperance Jane, Nathan, and William, Gardne. The given names are noted in case they seem like family names. Thanks, Jan K.
