I have searched for information about churches and schools in the Ivy/Beech Glen area of Madison to no avail. I am looking for specifics on names and locations for years around 1830-1868 (Buncombe/Yancey), which I have not found in any of the history books that I have located. I know that some early church goers worshiped in homes and some schools were held in churches. Information on any of these would be helpful as well.
Any contribution would be greatly appreciated.
