Im posting over here to you just in case you come up with anything, I am looking at certain surnames you are posting.

My Hood line married into the Martin's of Gunpowder Creek, My Hood lines also married into Loudermilk and McMillan. One of my Hood cousin lines is connected to the Brown surname ( Brown very Common surname)

William Berry you have listed as a voter could be the same William Berry that was in Burke

The name Jonathan Parker also interests me but this would tie into Wilkes/Surry/Rowan County but they were only living about 20 minutes drive from Gunpowder Creek. The Parkers lived in the SE corner of Wilkes where your Heltons and my Martins lived close to the SW corner of Wilkes. You also mention a Singleton Ray. The Ray surname also in SE corner of Wilkes and Surry. Also B Chambers and John Chambers. The Chambers family in Wilkes has ties to the Parkers and Ray. Ray in Surry County married Benge. I am related to all these surnames including Roberts but again this is a common surname.
