Frances, I believe I was in contact with you before about the Long Family of NC. I am descended from Laban's brother, Martin Luther (Dorcas Amanda Dryman) who left NC for GA. Gilmer CO GEN SOC compiled a Family Legends Of Gilmer County book recently & I gave them as much info as I had at the time for the book. It took me so long to finally find my GA family that I wanted my info recorded somewhere. There are other Long Families in this book but I can't figure out how we might be related. I was in touch with Myrtle McDowell from Laban's family but it's been awhile since we corresponded. The Horne name also caught my eye because my Aunt Doris Long was married to Olney Earl Horne Jr & they lived in the St Louis Mo area. Best wishes in your research & if I can be of any help, let me know.
