Hello All,

I am looking for proof that Thomas CARPENTER is Cherokee Indian, but am unsure of how to go about it. Here is what I have on him:

Thomas CARPENTER: He was born in 1887 in Franklin, Macon, North Carolina, and he died in abt. 1953 in (Macon County, North Carolina). He married Nannie SCRUGGS on 6-JUN-1909 in Franklin, Macon, North Carolina, and had the following children: Robert (1895), Sanford (1909), Reby (1912), George (1914), Edna (1919), Mammie (1920), Leah (1921), and Johnnie (1923).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Anna
