Your Williams family and mine are probably connected, but I don't have any information to connect them. My great, great grandfather was John A. Williams, born 3 June 1813 in Buncombe County, North Carolina. He married Jane Burlison, daughter of Edward Burlison and Matilda Mckissick, about 1837. The family was living in Buncombe County, North Carolina in 1840. They moved to Macon County between 1842 and 1844, and are listed as Household #28, family #29 in Tennessee Valley in the 1850 Macon County census. Household #29 was Joseph Williams, born 1824 in Buncombe County, wife Louisa, and three children. My Williams ancestors were living in Gilmer County, Georgia in 1860.
