I am gathering info to put together a very basic history of the settling of the Scaly Mountain area of Macon County.
The Long and Carpenter families were early settlers and I would be very happy to hear where your families might fit into this patchwork quilt.. Can you give me your earliest settler in Macon County and let me see if I can make it fit?
Best and thnx
