From records of Old Macon County the following abstract was found and I would like information as to which Methodist Church this might be and its location. Could it be Clarks Chapel?

"Gift: J. R. Siler of Macon to Mathew Russell Senr., Samuel Read, Mathew N. Russell, Buckner Guy, Archabald M. Russell, trustees, for affection for Methodist Denmoinations, 1/2 ac., incl. Meeting House they built in forks of Road leading to Franklin & Clayton on what is called the WM. Rogers tract of land. Trustees to keep in repair a house or place of worship for use of Methodist Episcopal Church of USA, May 1, 1844. J. R. Siler. Wit: Robert A Philip, J>W> Dobson, Proven by J. W. Dobson in June 1844 court. Registered July 13, 1844". Thank you for any help you could give me. L. Brown
