Caroline Hopper Hemphill, Rabun Co., GA/Macon Co., NC

I am searching for any information on the descendants of Caroline Hopper who married Joseph Hemphill (born about 1810 in Burke Co., NC) on May 16, 1839 in Rabun Co., GA. Caroline, the daughter of Samuel Hopper, was born between 1815 and 1820, probably in NC.

Joseph and Caroline were enumerated in Rabun Co., GA on p. 214 as having one child. Caroline died between 1846 and 1847, probably in Macon Co., NC. Joseph remarried on December 27, 1847 in Macon Co., NC to Peggy Thomas (born about 1830 in GA). Joseph and Peggy were enumerated on the 1850 Federal Census, Macon Co., NC on p. 369 in the Horse Cove area.

The known children of Joseph and Caroline Hopper Hemphill are:

1. Sarah A. Hemphill, born 1840 Rabun Co., GA, died Nov. 28, 1928 Smithbridge Twp., Macon Co., NC; never married

2. Robert Hemphill, born about 1842 Rabun Co., GA

3. Mary Hemphill, born about 1844 Macon Co., NC

4. Albert Hemphill, born about 1846 Macon Co., NC

Joseph and Peggy Thomas Hemphill had at least one child, Elizabeth Hemphill, who was born about 1849 in Macon Co., NC. I lost track of this family after the 1850 Federal Census. Caroline Hopper Hemphill was mentioned in her father's estate records in 1858 as being deceased. Her portion of her father's estate was left to her heirs, but they were not mentioned by name nor was their location mentioned.

Any information on any of the people mentioned herein would be greatly appreciated, and I would be especially interested in corresponding with descendants of Caroline or Joseph.
