Philip A. Reep who served as postmaster of the Reepsville Post Office (formerly Pleasant Home Post Office)from 28 April 1884 until 1904 was married to Rebecca Wise. They are both buried at Daniels Lutheran cemetery, Lincoln Co.

The Philip Reep who married Susannah Haus (Lincoln Co. marriage bond dated 19 Nov. 1833)was born 1 Dec. 1795, son of George Adam Reep (1755-1837) and his wife Susannah Seagle. This Philip Reep may have moved to Mississippi prior to 1850. He is listed on the 1840 Lincoln census with a male 0-5, female 0-5, and female 0-10. Philip's age is given as 40-50, Susannah's as 30-40.
