Patricia, hi,
I'm doing research on a 'Luther Flanagan' myself. My 'Luther Flanagan' is 'Martin Luther Flanagan/Flannagan', b. 4/12/1845, d. 2/16/1918. Was 2nd husband to Mary/"Mollie" Yoder Hahn (b.3/6/1833, d. 5/22/1915). Both are buried in Oakwood Cemetery in Hickory, NC, along with their 4-year old son William (b. 9/1/1873, d. 10/27/1877). These two were married sometime after 1864, when Mary/Mollie's first husband Amzi Hahn was killed in the War. I found this just today, while searching records in the Statesville Public Library. I hope it helps. I'm looking for information on Catawba County/Hickory, NC Flanagan's. My paternal grandmother was a Flanagan from Hickory. If you come across anything that might be useful to me, please let me know. Thanks.
