Ann,

Thank you for your follow-up! I think we have found our missing John Michael Ramsour B Abt 1847 somewhere in MO; thought to be in Lincoln CO, MO.

We are now looking for his father thought to be Ambro Parks (Parker?) Ramsour B 1820 in NC. This should be in the 1860 census, however I can't read the handwriting. He is listed with wife Sarah and son Michael, Mary, Nancy...

I believe his father to be another Michael Ramsour B abt 1789 in NC who married a Betsey. Anything past this is speculation, but I will continue:

It is thought this Michael's father is Capt Henry Ramsour from Randolph Co. NC who married a Mary. Henry would have been born around 1755.

If this is true, Henry's father would have been another Michael Ramsour born about 1734.

I would think that someone's line would tie into this at some point. We are in the act of trying to prove and disprove this hypothesis. If anyone has anything to add please feel free to write here or:
