White Pines Area

Does anyone know exactly what was considered the White Pines
district on the 1860 Census for Gaston County. It appears to
be near the Lincoln County Line between Crouse and Cherryville. Appreciate any help with this or any information on James Taylor b.Abt 1786-89 in Lincoln County.
He had the following children that I am aware of:
James Taylor, Jr., Jackson, Morris, Franklin (I think) and
Esther.
