At the moment, I am not sure of what the initial M Jame's name stands for. I have noticed in other postings of yours that you had a James N. In my family line I have 2 James N Thompson. N ....stands for Napoleon. Another off the wall name in my Thompson family is Dolphis. Do you have either of these names in your family line?

My James M. was married in Wake Co. N.C in 1843, one of his sons Solomon was also married in Wake Co. in 1881. I cant find what happened to James M. Census later show James' wife Jane living with Solomon and Penelope Thompson. I show them in following counties of NC, Lincoln, Nash, Wake, Granville, Warren, & Franklin.
