Thank you Ann, that is just what I needed. Burke covered such a great territory before 1800 it was difficuilt for me locate some of the references to landmarks. The Schell's owned about 1550 acres from 9 land grants, 8 were issued in Burke County and 1 from Lincoln County. I will have to visit more the one county now to do research. Thanks again.
