Earle and Annie Caldwell
Posted by: Joy Moore Date: June 04, 2001 at 20:01:33
  of 2014

My grandfather and grandmother, Earle b.abt 1893/94 and Annie(Holloway) Caldwell lived in Lincolnton near Labortory, and is buried there at the Methodist Church. Earle's father was Joseph b.abt 1859 and his mother was named Clara or Cora. In the 1910 census Joseph and his wife are listed as living on Water St. and working as night watchman at the mill. In the 1920 census, Earle and Annie are listed as living at Wampum Mill Village where he worked as a twister in the mill. My father was named Joseph and called "Shorty" by his friends. He worked at one time I believe in a sock factory. He had a sister named Irene. My Grandmother attended a little Church of God of Prophecy Church. I would like to found out about this side of my family and I'm hoping someone may have heard of them or know about them. I believe my grandparents may be of German decent. Would appreciate any info. Thanks--Joy Moore
