Hi Nancy,
Sarah Nan was the daughter of John Jarrett of Macungie Twp, Bucks/Lehigh/Northampton Co, PA. In a 1764 orphan court record, ordering the division of the late John Jarrett's land (he d 1755), she is mentioned as "Sarah the wife of Martin Speigle", along with her 12 siblings.

Her mother was not Mary Lukens. The John Jarrett that married Mary Lukens died in 1759. I believe that Mary Lukens Jarrett metions four children in her will, none of which are in Sarah's father's will.

Dr. Charles Speegle, in his book "The Speifle Family and Their Kin" gives the name of Sarah Nan's mother to be Anna Maria. He conducted extensive research on the Speegle / Speigle / Speifle, etc. family and his book should be available on interlibrary loan. I have yet to find primary documentation listing her name. Hope this helps!
