Virginia,
Hi. I was reading the reply to you and see the name of Miles. I have a THOMPSON line who used this name. They md. into a line out of LINC./BURKE Co. The line as I have it: Elizabeth (LONG?) b abt 1827 Burke Co
md. ? THOMPSON
had: Louada, James Manuel "Manny" and
"Manning", Caroline Ann, Arminda
possible had Lorenza, and two
others.
James Manuel THOMPSON b 1848 NC md. Sarah
Matilda or Louisa LEATHERWOOD.
they had: Hiram Virgil, Sarah Louada
or Louvada, Florence, Cidda Arvie,
Henry Miles. possible others.

I have not found a marraige for above Elizabeth and she never appears on a census
with her husband. She appears in 1850 with her parents. Possible on a visit to GA to see them, and maybe I will still find her with her husband as well. Then missing in 1860, back living near her parents in 1870.
I have attempted finding her in 1860, hand scanning TN, NC and GA counties where I felt she'd be. NO LUCK. any help? email me at
