Hi Nettie,
Andrew and Catherine Wilson were my GGG grandparents. According to a second cousin of mine, they left Wilson's Mill, NC in the mid 1800's for Crawford Co. MO. Their son, James married Nancy Odle in MO. Her family (father Tompkins, brother Caleb and sisters) came from TN, I beleive. They all lived in Wilson's Mill, MO, later renamed Wesco and operated the mill along the Meramec River. My mother was born and raised until her teen years in the area around Wesco. Her mother was the granddaughter of James & Nancy.
I visited MO this past August to research 3 or 4 different families I'm related to who lived in the southeast area of the state. I have some copies of marriage records, photos of tombstones and of the individual towns they lived in. If you are interested in any of the research I have, please let me know. I have little or no information regarding the Wilson/Taylor families before they lived in NC.
