Will someone please tell me just where Liles Creek is located in Lincoln Co. N.C.? That's where my Ancestor Balthazar Tritt first settled in the post mid 1800's. He was called Balthus/Balsher and several more Pronunciationsof the name. His land joined Whittingburgs and Devault Hunsucker. He came to N.C. from Pa.He had come into the U.S from Germany in 1752 on the Ship Anderson , Ship Master Hugh Campbell. After a Sojourn in Pa. He and Israel Boone, Father of Daniel did something to get kicked out of a church in Pa. and traveled together to Lincoln Co. N.C. where they were neighbors. A Copy of his Will and land records was in old Burke Co. I would like very much to find just where this land was.
Also, Does anyone know the maiden name of his wife Magdalena ? Balsher was my fourth Gr-Grandfather thru his son Hendrick/Henry Tritt, Henry's son John, John's son Devault Thomas, Devault's son John Jefferson,John Jefferson's son William Bartow Tritt who was my Father. I am very proud of my Tritt Ancestry which oringinated in Lenk Switzerland. (Such a Beautiful Country!)
