I don't recall ever getting notification about this post but yes I have noticed how close they all lived together. In another post you said that Martha is a likely relative of Fergus. I believe that as well.

Fergus' wife (Mary Grice) sister Anna married an Eli Drum and is also listed on the Catawaba NC 1850 and 1860 census. Eli Drum's brother (David) married Martha Reynolds, and that is why I believe her to be a sister to Fergus Harvey Reynolds.

An Adaline Runnels is living with Daniel Drum in the 1850 census. She is listed as 17 years old (b. 1833). This Adaline may also be a sister (or at least related) to Fergus.

I don't have access to census records before 1850 or the means to travel to NC so it's kinda hard to go from there.
