When I responded to the query four years ago I referenced the will of Samuel Swearingen from an abstract book of Lincoln Co. NC wills. This abstract gives the date of the will as 7 June 1801, probate in January Court 1819. You stated you have two "transcriptions" of the will, one showing date June 7, 1805, the other June 7, 1809. To solve the question as to the will's actual date written, I would order a copy of the original will which is on file at the NC Archives. The Archives website is
www.ah.dcr.state.nc.us/archives/mail.htm
Looking at a copy of the original should solve the question as to its date.

I have an index of Lincoln Co. estate records at the Archives, but see nothing under the surname Swearingen/Swaringham.
