William Neal and wife Nancy

For years our family in Tennessee has been trying to locate Willian Neal (abt 1755-1840) who moved from North Carolina to a 640-acre land grant in Franklin County, Tennessee, just before 1800. There is a William Neal listed in the 1790 Lincoln County census, Morgantown District, First Company, with two sons and a wife. If that wife's name is Nancy, (1768-1850) then he could be our ancestor. Can anyone tell me if there is a marriage record of a William Neal to Nancy (?) prior to 1790?
