I don't know whether your interest is in the Dellinger family or the Kistler/Kesler family, but here is what I have:
Thomas Jefferson Dellinger, b. 24 June 1856, d. 23 Oct. 1938, bur. Mt. Zion Baptist Ch., Cherryville, Gaston Co., NC, son of Peter Dellinger, d. 19 Sept. 1864, Charlottesville, VA. of measles, Co. E, 12th Reg. NC Troops. wife Elizabeth Black. Thomas Jefferson Dellinger md. Barbara Kistler, b. 11 July 1846, d. 27 May 1920, bur. Mt. Zion Baptist, dau. Noah Kistler (dec'd. 1852) and Sarah Caroline Leonhardt (Barbara's parents confirmed by her Lincoln Co. NC death certificate, Vol. 9, p. 105). Noah Kistler and Caroline Leonhardt have a Lincoln Co. Marriage Bond dated 10 May 1845. There is a Lincoln Co. Estate file for Noah Kistler at the NC Archives, Raleigh. Following the death of her husband, Sarah Caroline Leonhardt Kistler md. (2) Lincoln Co. Marriage Bond dated 29 Mar. 1856 Henry Houser. Barbara Kistler and her sister Frances Kistler are in the household of Henry and Caroline Houser on the 1860 and 1870 Lincoln Co. census.

Ephraim V. Dellinger, b. 7 Nov. 1852, d. 3 Aug. 1926, bur. Wright Chapel, Ben Lomond, AR, md. Lincoln Co. marriage license 14 Nov. 1872 Frances Kistler. Frances was b. 1848, d. 1927, also bur. Wright Chapel, Ben Lomond, AR. Ephraim was son of Charles Dellinger, b. 1822, d. 1900, bur. Wright Chapel, Ben Lomond, AR. Charles md. Lincoln Co. Marriage Bond dated 12 Dec. 1846 Gemima Homesley, b. 1817, d. 1906, bur. Wright Chapel, Ben Lomond, AR.

On the 1870 Lincoln Co. census Frances Kistler is not only shown in the household of her step-father, but also in the household of an elderly couple Joseph and Mary Houser. I do not know what relationship this couple has to Henry Houser, the step-father of Frances Kistler. Joseph Houser is listed next-door to the family of Charles and Gemima Dellinger.

These Dellingers are descendants of "Indian Creek" George Dellinger. Hope this helps.

Ann M. Dellinger
