I am trying to figure out all these Adams families in Lincoln Co., NC in the early 1800s.

I am helping a friend with her Adams' ancestors. She has an ANDREW ADAMS (born bef. 1792) who family records say lived in Lincoln Co., NC before coming to Jacksonville, Alabama in 1837. Family records state that Andrew's brothers were: William, James, John, George, and Robert.

Family notes also record that Andrew was the son of JAMES ADAMS and MARY MORRISON, but I can find no other documentation to prove this.

Do any of these names ring a bell? With the Lincoln Co., NC connection, I wonder if Andrew is somehow related to Abednego Adams of early Lincoln Co., NC.

Thanks for any help.

Julie
