Gaston Co. was once part of Lincoln Co., and Olney Presbyterian Church was organized in 1793. In the history titled "Olney Presbyterian Church 1793-1968, I found the following: "Whether by accident or design, an Independend Presbyterian Church was established on the same grounds as the original Olney. Thur, for a time, two churches existed on the same property, within a stone's throw of the other, both having services at the same time.........." and under "Pastors of the Church", I found the following: "In the Independent Presbyterian Church at Olney, W. D. Davis, R. Y. Russell, G. W. Davis, James Stewart Bailey, J. O. Daniel, W. W. Carothers, and W. W. Ratchford served as pastors. Rev. J. O. Daniel died while pastor and is buried in the cemetery.

Hope this is helpful.
