NC Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions, July 1807 - "Last Will and Testament of Phillip Pierce dated 12 April 1807 proved in open Court by William Davenport and James James and admitted to record. Thomas McGee being appointed Executor of same." NC State Archives, Raleigh, has an original will for Philip PERCE, will dated 12 April 1807, probated July Court 1807. Will names wife Betty, James Farewell, Jr., and Oren Perce, son of my sister Milly Perce. Executor Thomas McGee. Witnesses to will William Davenport, Joseph Phillips, James James.
Lincoln Co. NC Deed Bk. 23, p. 365 - 27 Feb. 1806 James Riece to Philip Perce for $200 conveys 150 acres on waters of Catawba River, borders David Philips and David Smith, granted 5 Nov. 1779 to Moses Scott. Witnesses to deed: William Scott and William Davenport.
