Martin Shuford, died 17 June 1837 aged 60 yrs. 10 mon., 23 days, buried Emmanuel Lutheran (Old White Church) cemetery, Lincolnton, NC, was son of John Martin Shuford and Eve Catherine Warlick. The siblings of Martin Shuford were: Catherine md. George Wilfong; Jacob died 1844; John died 1842; Elizabeth md. John Ramsaur; Daniel died 1839; and Philip died 1859. I see nothing in my Shuford material which connects to the Weir/Weer/Ware family.

I do have a Weir/Weer file copied from the NC Archives.

The majority of what I have in the file relates to the NC Supreme Court Case between John Hoke and Lawson Henderson concerning lands of Robert Weir, Sr. and his son Joseph Weir. Information from this extensive file indicates this Robert Weir died 25 Jan. 1829, administration of his estate was issed to John Weir on 30 October 1829. This Robert Weir had sons John Weir (still alive in 1834, age 56); Robert Weir; David Weir; and Joseph Weir. The file states Joseph Weir was born in February 1786, was arrested and tried for a felony and executed about 1827. Joseph Weir's wife was Diadama Webb, daughter of Robert Webb. She was living in Rutherford County NC in April 1833. Diadama Webb Weir had a brother Elisha Webb living in Tennessee. The maiden name of Elisha Webb's wife was Sorrells.

As I stated what I have are copies of the extensive NC Supreme Court case between John Hoke and Lawson Henderson. The case numbers are 2227 and 2282. Information on this case can also be found in Governors Papers Bk. 83, #1353, #1355.
