Ann--thanks so much for this info. I'm trying to identify an Abraham Lemmons/Leming (listed as Leming in the settlment of his estate) in Greene Co TN on the 1850 census. This Abraham is show to be 86 b VA, with no wife listed in his household. There is an Ann M. Lemmons 22, and a John French 20, listed in his household, they are probably keeping house and as noted for John French doing "day labour."

It seems that the verdict is still out on the Abraham of Lincoln Co NC being the Abraham in Greene Co TN, but I doubt that they are one in the same.

:-) Kelle
