Hi Susan, I have been working on the 1900 census for Lincolnton, Lincoln Co. and have a Nancy C. Beaty b.7-10-1855 d.4-12-1940 m.1-13-1884 L. S. Vandyke b.1839. They had: Thomas b.10-00-1884 and George b.7-00-1891. She is buried at Pleasant Grove U.M.Ch.Cem. in Lincoln Co. N. C. (All that the census has is: #359. Vandyke, Nancy C.@40 b.7-00-1855, Wd. (9-5)kids, Thomas@15, b.10-00-1884, George @8, b.7-00-1891.) I just gather more info and put it all into the pages that I have been compiling for myself. She is not listed in the "death books" nor is he listed in 1880, 1870, 1860 census, but there is a Jane VanDyke @18 living with the John Mauney family in the 1850 census. Hope this helps you out. Dee
