In or around Lincolnton, Absalom Farmer (b.c1835) sired a male child by wife Nancy Plonk (b.c1836). Name was W. Lee Farmer (d.c1961, Waco, TX), who may have been posthumous since Absalom died of wounds suffered at Gettysburg. Not certain. After A's death, Nancy moved to Panola County, Mississipi and married one Ellsworth (sp?) and bore two other children, according to my information. (Not certain of order--moved then married or vice versa. The former, I believe.) As an adult, W. Lee Farmer moved to Waco, Texas and bore three sons, Roland (d.c1946, Frio County, TX), Hunter (d.w/o issue), and Shuford (d.c 1970?, Waco, TX). (I am W. Lee's greatgrandson.)

If you know any details of other offspring of Absalom Farmer and Nancy Plonk, I would appreciate receiving them.

Therold I. Farmer
Austin, Texas
