This message is for Patsy Horton or anyone who has info on Andrew PIERCE of Lincoln Co, NC.

Patsy, I hope this email finds you since I am responding to an old post on
genforum. I have just begun researching the LUMPKINs line, which is my wife's
ancestor. She is descended from James Andrew PIERCE who stated in his pension
application that he was born in Lincoln Co, NC. While looking through the
census I too noticed that there was this Andrew PIERCE in Lincoln Co in 1830 &
1840.

Based on family lore, James and a brother were captured by Indians when their
parents were killed. James later escaped and ended up in TX. Do you know of
this story?

My main question to you is, what proof is there that Andrew is the father of
James. I too leanin that direction but since I just started and I just found
that James stated that he was born in Lincoln, I have very little to go on.

I hope this email finds you well and you can be of assistance to me. Good
luck and good hunting in your researches.
