I made the trip to Lincoln County this past Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003. Thanks to all who posted to this message or sent me a message directly.

We did not find the house that my Dad was born in, but we met some very nice people that sent us on leads and searches in the right directions. Many thanks to: Helen Jonas, Margaret and Kaye Kiser, Rhyne Reep and son, Farrell Johnson and Ray Haynes, {who turned out to be a distant cousin}.

In all probability, the house is probably not standing at the present time, but we found out a good bit of other information and family connections....then we just ran out
of daylight and had to return homeward.

Everyone is so kind to be of such help in this endeaver.

We eagerly await our next visit to Lincoln County.

Rachel Haynes Tanner
