Major Absalom Bonham
Posted by: Vicki Curry (ID *****3598) Date: August 16, 2003 at 19:24:23
  of 2014

Absalom Bonham served in the Revolutionary War in the New Jersey regiment. After the war, he moved to Lincolnton, NC with his 2nd wife, Rebecca Morris, and their two children, Samuel Cox Bonham and Sarah Bonham. He died in Lincolnton in 1794 and was buried with full regimental honors. Absalom Bonham is my husband's gggggrandfather. Samuel Cox is his ggggrandfather and his daughter is his gggrandmother.
I would like any information on where Absalom is buried, where they lived in Lincolnton, whatever I can find.
My family, the C.D. Stroup family is from Lincolnton and I am also researching this family. I also have traced the family back to Peter Stroup or Stroub.
Thanks from any help anyone can give me. Vicki Curry
