Is there any relation to the Jacob MASON family who appeared in the 1820 Lincoln Co. NC census:

The only Mason that I could find in the 1820 Lincoln Co. NC census was:
Jacob Mason (Page 330): 0002-00101-02
2 males (16-24)
1 female (16-24)
1 female (45 & up)
2 persons engaged in agriculture

Mary Mason (born January 13, 1804, who married David Reinhardt in 1825) would have been 16 years old in 1820 (matching the daughter's age in the census above).

Jacob Mason was probably the elder son (I've seen a reference that his birth year was 1799) since he's listed as the head of the household in 1820.

The younger son was also born between 1796-1804.
The mother (looks like she was a widow at this time) was born before 1775.
