William S. Grimes in Tx.
Does anyone know about the Allen Grimes mention, as most know we are trying to connect the Grimes from Wash. Co., Al to our Grimes of Duplin Co., NC. that came to Dale / Coffee Co., Al, and some went on out to Tx.
Thanks for any help given .
Have a question that does not go with the census, but anyway :-), Wm S. bro of Jesse was visiting in Tx, 1854, he knows so many people from Wash., Co., al that went to Tx, that it reads like he is having a good trip visiting friends and family.
Now here is the Question there was a ALLEN Grimes in or near Round Rock , Georgetown or Bastrop, Tx.
Who is thie ALLEN Grimes??
June 6,(1854) Tuesday, he leaves Henry's (R.H. son of Jesse, ) ALLEN Grimes with us. "Cross Allum creek where a man was hanged a few years ago for muder." Cross Kabbs ceek, traveled after night for want of corn to feed the horses. they went through Round Top Villiage, Stay at Greenberry Taylor's (they traveled 43 miles)
