Am searching for information on my Grandparents. GEORGE FRANKLN SAWYER and JULIA ANN GREEN SAWYER. They were married and had five children. LILLIE MAE SAWYER, CECIL HARRIS SAWYER, BESSIE BERAND SAWYER, VIOLA SAWYER and ANNA BELL SAWYER They are listed in the 1920 Census of Hyde County. My mother's name is misspelled there.
Julia died at a young age, I am 69 years old and she died before I was born. I know nothing about her family. George Sawyer, I remember some. I remember him telling me they were from Hyde County. I believed he mostly sold fish from the back of a truck for a living.
Later they moved to Washington by boat.
I remember hearing the names of Brickhouse and Sadler when I was young. Remember going to the Brickhouse home in Hyde County. Not sure whether these are kinfolk or friends. The Sadlers are sure kinfolk. Swindell is another name I remember, but believe it was from the Washington area.
If any one has any info, no matter how large or small, please let me know. Especially would like parents names of George and Julia. Thanks Al Day al33@juno.com
