I am aware that there were and I guess still are many Gibbs in Hyde County, NC.I have talked to other researchers there.
This is all I have on THIS Joseph Gibbs at this time.
Have you or any of your Gibbs relatives done the DNA testing? If there are enough Gibbs from this area participating in the DNA testing, I might convince one of my male Gibbs to.
I am trying to connect my gggrandfather Joseph S. Gibbs born abt 1824 in SC to his family from NC. According to my Gibbs relatives,my Joseph's parents were from the Outer Banks area.Because Hyde County has many Gibbs, I am checking that area for possible relatives.
We may have talked in the past, but I am not sure.
