I would like to announce the completion of a biography of Rev. William Garner Sr (1745-1824), an ancestor of the Greensville County, VA and Northampton County and Halifax County, NC Garners. William Garner moved to Brunswick County VA in the 1770s. William descended from John Garner, of Isle of Wight County Va, who settled of Buckhorn Woods in Maney's Neck, Hertford County. Also included are information on allied families such as Goodrum Walpole Woodruff Ferguson Cato Sprayberry Walton Brewer Avent and Rosser. Lists of Revolutionary War Patriots of Greensville and Brunswick County VA are transcribed. A complete chronological list of slaves and slave families from 18th and 19th century Northampton and Greensville County are also included. This data has proved very useful in tracing ancestry of those enslaved on the Garner plantations. It is now available at lulu: http://www.lulu.com/content/2680067 for hardcover. or http://www.lulu.com/content/2681902 for softcover. One can also download the book to avoid printing costs.
