Hi,

I'm afraid I don't have information on the folks you mentioned except I'm fairly certain there's a Messer connection to my Rathbones.

I was wondering if you have any information on the family of John and Margaret (Yarborough) Rathbone [the sister of John Wesley Yarborough] of Haywood County. I know that their son, Lorenzo died in the war between the states, but I don't know what happened to the other children:

Mary C. [b c 1939] after the 1860 census, (Mary C. had two children, William D. McElroy and Marion T. Stanford before 1861) I thought she married William McElroy [the same William that married Jane Mitchell] It turns out Jane Mitchell was Mary JANE Mitchell, so Mary C. (Caroline) didn't marry him as far as we know.

Telethia Jane [b c 1850] after the 1870 census (She was listed as Jane, a demestic, living with Franklin cousins)

Sarah/Sary E. [b c c 1849] after the 1860 census.

I don't know if/who they married, if they had children or when/where they died. Thank you for sharing if you know anything you can.

Joyce C. Wicks
