There will be a Dedication of a Memorial Stone for Hannah Leatherwood Hyatt on Saturday, Sept. 1, 2006 at Eleven O'clock AM at Maple Grove Methodist Church Cemetery,
79 Maple Grove Church Road near Waynesville, NC.
Hannah was the wife of Edward Gaither Hyatt and they were the first white settlers west of the Pigeon River, c1780 in what is now Haywood County, NC.
Hannah died on Jan., 10, 1837.
