Matilda Evans is listed in an obituary for my great grandmother as a surviving sister living in Canton, NC in 1944. Her maiden name was Henderson, and according to 1910, 1920, and 1930 census', she was the mother of 5 sons, Coy b 1905, Necie b. 1907, Wayran b 1914, Teller b 1915 and Ben Jack Mcgaha b. 1917. All the boys but the last went by Henderson on the census', all born and living in Cocke Co., TN, but she is listed as divorced on the 1920 census. She was living in Canton in 1944 and was apparently married to an Evans sometime after 1930. Can anyone help with more information?
