I am a descendant of Wilson Nesbit Crawford who was born 1 May 1825 in Haywood County, North Carolina. He married Rachel Elizabeth Farmer on 26 Feb 1846 in Haywood County, North Carolina. The couple moved to Gilmer County, GA after 1850. After 1870, Wilson left his family in Georgia and moved to Tallapoosa County, Alabama where he married Martha Margaret Stuart in 1875. He died Between 1900-1910 in Clay County, Alabama. His father was James B. Crawford and his mother was Ann (Anny) Messer/Mercer. Wilson's grandparents were Samuel Monroe Crawford and Mary Briscoe. That is as far as I can go with any certainty. I would appreciate any assistance on who Samuel M.'s parents and grandparents were.
