My name is L. Mark Curtiss Sr. the great grandson of Elizabeth Brown who resided in Barker Creek North Carolina in the mid 1850s.
In 1867 there was a liaison between an unknown Farley and her that resulted in the birth of my grandfather; William Allen Brown, born September 23 1868 Barker Creek, Graham Co., N.C.
William 'Bill' died November 1974 at Sedro Woolly
Washington, at the age of 107. He married twice; first to Gracie Florence Belt by whom there were eight children born, my mother being the fifth. Secondly he married Olive London by whom eight more children were born.
My genealogical research is for the name and family history of the unknown Farley, any additional information of the Belt family history, as well as in-depth information of the Brown branch.
I am sure there are Belts, Browns, and Farleys buried in Graham County [Perhaps even Barker Creek or nearby cemeteries.]
For any who might be interested I am willing to share what data I have.
