Glad I could be of help to you. I could find no Colvard/Colvert's on the 1830 or 1840 censuses. There is a John Jr. and John Sr. Calvert on the 1810 census and Jacob and John Calvert on the 1820 census.

On the 1850 census in household #908a there is a Sarah L. (Colvard) Nelson, age 68, b. N.C. who is the wife of David Nelson, age 73, b. N.C.

I also noticed that Thomas Caldwell has two young females in his household on the 1840 census. One is 5-10 yrs. old and the other is 10-15 yrs. old.
