Pete Mason and Patricia Lakey

I have been looking for my Great Grandfather's parents for years. I have just learned this story from a Great Aunt that I had not seen in years. My Great Grandfather's name was Wilburn Bowen Mason and he was married to my Great Grandmother Martha Ada West. Anyway, I knew that Wilburn Mason was buried in Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery in Franklin (Cowee Township) but I could never find his grave. Last week I learned that his tombstone has the name of Wilburn Lakey on it. The story goes ........ Wilburn's father was Peter (or Pete) Mason and he married a woman named Patricia Lakey after Patricia gave birth to her son Wilburn (my Great Grandfather). All their children had the Mason name and Wilburn went by the name of Mason, but no one knows why they buried him with the Lakey name. Does anyone know of this Patricia Lakey? Any information that you have would be appreciated so much. Thank you.
