I am the ggggranddaughter of Jane messer and James Turpin.

My gggrandmother was Margaret Elizabeth Turpin b May 19, 1831 (twin), Her twin sister was Sarah.

My g--grandmother married Columbus John Fincher b abt 1828 in Haywood Co. N. C., he was the son of Joshua Fincher and Elizabeth Hice/Hise.

From all that I can find out Columbus John died during the civil war bet 1862-1868. They had abt 9 children, One of which was my gggrandfather Dr. James Jackson Fincher.

She then married Henry Jackson Dodson/Dotson and they had 3 more children.

I would be very interested in seeing or having a copy of the picture of James Turpin,
and any information on yourself and family.
