According to Miller's Cemetery book, there was a John L. Parton (note the difference in spelling) who was in Co E, 62nd Regiment, CSA. No dates are shown for him. He is buried in the Hiram Rogers Cemetery on Fines Creek.

There is a James Jackson Green buried in the Buchanan Cemetery on Allens Creek, but he fought in WW I.
